Family Guy Season 5

I love Family Guy. You can guarantee that it will be damn funny. I loved the first few minutes of the season (Osama Bin Laden and Police Squad spoofs) and every episode is well funny. It's just a shame that I'm not American as I think I'd understand more of the jokes about some people if I was. For instance, who is Carrot Top?! Definitely worth watching!

Patrick McGuinness Live!

Watched this last night. I thought it was ok. Quite entertaining, but not hilarious.

Buzz Comedy Night

Went to the Buzz Comedy Night at De Bees on Wednesday. It was really good, one of the best ones yet!
The compere, Mat Reed (a Geordie) was hilarious.
Then there was The Agraman. Apparently he books all the acts for the comedy nights. Well, I suppose he must be good for something then, because he was awful. You know an act's not going to be any good when he begins with a joke from a Christmas cracker (How many letters are there in the Christmas alphabet?...)
I thought the next guy, Gonzo Kane, was quite funny, but my friends disagreed.
The final act was Smug Roberts, who appeared as Max's brother in Phoenix Nights. He has been on before and was good then. But on Wednesday he was brilliant! A lot of his jokes seemed to have been made up on the spot and he was well funny!
It's just a shame that they don't get more people at the comedy nights. They ae well worth going to!

Shopping in Manchester

Went shopping in Manchester today with Lisa, my brother Charles and my mate Rob. Lots of bargains around, but I bet there was a lot more yesterday (couldn't make it then!)
Trying to find a top or shirt without stripes is becoming an impossible task, so I had to buy a couple of shirts with a slight stripey pattern.
Had a buffet at Pizza Hut (absolutely stuffed afterwards!)
Bought some DVD bargains from HMV. Found Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves for £3, Family Guy Season 2 for £12.95 and The Office: An American Workplace for £5.
Had a good day and returned to the car park only to pay £16.80 to park the car!! A bit steep, but nevermind.

Christmas Play

We have been working hard on our Christmas play over the last few weeks. This year we are performing A Christmas Soldier. We organise it so that Year Six do all the acting and Year Five and Four arrange some dances to the songs. The Year Sixes are pulling all the stops out and the acting is fab. Tonight we took down the old display behind the stage ready for our scenery backdrop. The first performance is on Friday 8th December - less than two weeks. Does anyone else leave everything til the last minute like us?

Lost Season Three Episode 3

How wierd was last night's episode? I loved, it all the same, but the bit with John's 'dream' was just bizarre. Like everything in this programme, it will all make sense in the end. Did you notice Paolo and Nicki casually name dropped for the first time?...
